A quick gathering back together to get ready to move on to Number Corner.

1:20-1:40 Number Corner

This is a bit like a Math calendar. Each day, we look at one small concept and talk about our thinking, or work through a problem string. The concepts taught during this time, will be taught in depth in other units. Number Corner prepares us for those units.

1:40-1:55 7th Inning STRETCH!!!

Last time to move around, get a drink or have a potty break and be ready to go at 1:15. Students will mute and turn off video but stay online so they are ready to go.

1:55-2:20 Science/Social Studies

We will be rotating between these two subjects so that we can go in depth with one at a time. This year there will be fun videos, great stories and some virtual hands on activities for the students to enjoy. This is the portion that may be live or may be a time when they will be directed to read or watch a video about the content.

2:20-2:45 Independent work time

Independent time to work on projects or assignments in Science or Social Studies

2:45-3:05 Read Aloud

Although I love my whole day, sharing great stories with my students is by far my favorite time of day. This year, I have saved it for last. It will be a great way to relax and end our day with the words of great authors swimming in our heads.

3:05-3:30 Office Hours

Kids can log off and finish up their day, if they have questions or celebrations, they can sign up to meet with me during this time.
