KAGE , Kentucky Association for Gifted Education, officially organized in 1979, is a non-profit volunteer group of parents, teachers, administrators, other educators, and all citizens interested in promoting appropriate educational opportunities for gifted and talented youth in Kentucky.
Strong membership is especially important when advocating with decision makers who make decisions regarding appropriate educational opportunities for gifted and talented children. A membership in KAGE is an investment in advocacy efforts with our state and federal legislators. Be an advocate for gifted programs and gifted children! Join KAGE Now!
Recently, through the generous people who are committed to supporting education, I was able to fund another project through Donors Choose. My project was focused on getting more supplies and interesting activities for students at GCIS. Before Christmas break, I was thrilled to receive:
A wall board for building Lego creations
Blokus - a game of strategy and shapes
Another chess board
Creative "Flakes" for building just about anything you can imagine.
A set of jacks, great for building hand/eye coordination
Perplexus - a maze game inside a globe. Believe me, it's a real challenge!
A 3D puzzle of Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter series
Gravitron set - a maze set with 100s of ways to build a variety of marble runs.
