I officially became a teacher in the winter of 2006 where I taught Health and PE teacher at Clinton County Middle School. During my tenure in Albany I was also head football coach at both the middle and high schools, archery coach and CCMS Athletic Director. In 2011 I was able to return home and teach PE at Green County Middle School. I have served on GCMS's Site Based Decision Making Counsel, and also been head football coach at both the middle and high schools here as well. In 2018 my roles changed as I took on the position of Green County Alternative school Director. A position I've held now going on 5 years. The 2022-2023 school year will bring forth my 17th year in education.

I am the proud father to James (Jamer) and Jeremy (Jj) Whitlow. They will be 7 and 8 years old this year and are going into 1st and 2nd grades. They are truly my world and consider them the greatest blessings of my life.

We have a great time swimming at Papaw's pool, love to fish and play at the creek, play "real life" Among Us, "real life" Call of Duty, ride around in our super cool 97 Geo Tracker, play in the leaves and dirt, go to the movies (big Sonic fans), wrestle, go to Chick Fil A, laugh, be silly and cut up, and generally spending time with other family and friends. On Sunday's you can find us in attendance at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

When I'm not being a dad I enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and I am very passionate about football. From watching it, to studying and working on it. I love to play Chess (I feel the most strategy based things on earth are War, Chess, and the game of football). I also enjoy playing Rook and Rummy and spending time with family and friends. And one of my favorite passages in scripture is Romans 8:28.

-And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)
