Classes Overview
We will offer three levels of Japanese classes at Brentwood, Exploratory Japanese, Japanese 1A, and Japanese 1B. You will explore Japanese language and culture through action-related talk and play-based activities in these classes. You will be able exchange greetings, sing songs, introduce yourselves, respond to simple instructions in Japanese!

I'm Mrs. Gibson, your Japanese teacher. You can call me Gibson Sensei ("Teacher Gibson" in Japanese). I'm so excited to have you in my Japanese class this semester! I have prepared materials and activities that will help you learn and get excited about learning the Japanese language and culture!

How to read, write, and type in Japanese
How to navigate through daily common situations (asking questions, exchange greetings, self introductions, etc...)
intriguing cultural topics (cultural manners, peoples values, friendship and school life, stereotypes in Japan, perseverance in Japanese sports, functionality of Japanese house, changing family dynamics, unique hobbies, and more!)
