Teachers can create live or student-paced, interactive lessons that include interactive videos, gamification, and/or activities or use/edit pre-made lessons from the library for students to complete.
Currently, all teachers and admins have PREMIUM PLUS accounts; If you have questions about your account, contact your ITT.
Students are not rostered with accounts but instead use the 'code' displayed when a teacher runs or assigns a lesson. Teachers can also use the Google Classroom add-on for Nearpod to assign and launch lessons.
Teachers launch Nearpod lessons, videos, or activities in either Live Participation mode, Student-Paced mode, or Front of Class mode.
Teachers should periodically check the Lesson Settings in their account to turn some features on/off such as:
Basic Student Settings: Customize your students’ Nearpod experience.
Accessibility Settings: Provide supportive tools for students who need reading accommodations.
Live Participation Settings: Customize what your students can do when using Nearpod in Live Participation mode.
Student-Paced Settings: Customize what your students can do when using Nearpod on their own in Student-Paced mode.
Share your Nearpod lessons and activities with other teachers!
Use Nearpod's Co-Teaching feature: Co-Teaching allows a teacher and their co-teacher or co-facilitator to both control the pace of a lesson and get real-time insights into student responses. Co-Teaching works in Live Participation mode.
