Teachers are able to distribute lessons and materials digitally. Also allows students to submit work that can be graded and a new feature also allows teachers to use a Rubric. Feedback can be given individually as well. Announcements can be posted for all students to see.

Tips
For your first time using Google Classroom, when you first sign in, select “Teacher”. You will not immediately be able to add a class, but your ITT’s are watching the list and approving ASAP.
Excellent option for grades 3+ to communicate and distribute materials and tasks. Highly recommend to limit students being able to ‘post and comment’ (settings). Contact your ITT for support.
