All Chromebooks are configured to connect to the District Network. If you are using your Chromebook at home you will need to connect to your home network or hotspot. All District Chromebooks are continuously monitored and content filtered whether you are in school or at home! Any misuse will be handled by GCSD and building administration.
You can also use your Chromebook offline and files will update once connected to a network.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE RELIABLE WI-FI ACCESS AT HOME
Check out the free wifi spots provided throughout the community, in all of our district parking lots, and at after-hours learning centers as arranged in secondary schools.
Lifeline is a federal benefit that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service. Click here for more information.
Contact our parent helpline (966-2911) and/or your school principal to apply to use one of the district’s no-cost portable hotspots.
Printing at home can be done either via wifi or by plugging your Chromebook directly into your printer. The directions can vary depending on home wifi and the printer you own. We always recommend you visit the manufacturer's website for specific directions. Here are directions from Google to help support printing.
