All Chromebooks when handed out include one manufactures charger. It is the district expectation that the charger be used only for charging your Chromebook and any other use would be considered a violation. Using a charger for unintended purposes can cause damage to the charger, the device or possibly cause a fire. Buying or using your own charger can also cause damage or fire to the Chromebook. *See below
If you have lost or misplaced your charger you should visit your library at the Secondary Level or notify your classroom teacher at the Elementary Level. A new charger will be provided and a fee of $20 will be assessed and can be paid through myschoolbucks.com. We do not recommend ordering your own charger from sites like Amazon because it can and has caused damage to the Chromebook. Our prices for our chargers are at cost and when compared to Amazon or similar sites are usually cheaper or within a few dollars.
It is very rare, but occasionally a charger can be faulty. In those cases, it will be replaced with no fee for the new charger.
