GLOW RUN FAQ

The More you Know, the more we Glow!

What is the Glow Run?

The Glow Run is Great Oaks Elementary’s annual fall fundraiser, organized by our PTA to raise funds that support our students, teachers, and school throughout the year.

This year, from September 22 through October 8, students are invited to participate in our totally rad retro-themed Glow Run fundraiser, working toward individual, classroom, and school wide prizes and experiences along the way.

The fun culminates on October 8, when every student will get to participate in the Glow Run! Students will run, dance, and “glow” their way through a fun, high-energy event in the cafeteria.

What’s the goal?

Our goal is to raise enough through the Glow Run to fund the PTA’s budgeted programs, events, and initiatives for the entire school year. By reaching our goal, we can provide enriching experiences and opportunities for every Great Oaks student and family.

How does it work?

It’s simple! Find your students fundraising page on 99Pledges and share it with family and friends.

As students raise money, they’ll unlock different levels of prizes and experiences for themselves, their classroom, and our school. Every contribution, big or small, helps make a difference!

Why are we raising money?

Funds raised through the Glow Run help make the PTA’s plans for the school year possible, supporting programs, resources, and experiences that directly benefit our students.

Fundraising dollars help support:

• Field Trips for all students

• Family Programs, including STEAM Night, Family Night, and more

• School Assemblies & Special Programs

• Grade-Level Enrichment Materials

• Arts, Music & Wellness supplies and programming

• Supplemental Software, Curriculum & Enrichment Programs

• Family PTA Events, including Movie Nights, Trunk or Treat, and more

Why does your participation matter?

When Great Oaks families work together, we can do more for our students. The Glow Run is our one big, school wide fundraiser, designed to raise the funds needed to support the programs, events, and experiences planned throughout the year. Families can make one big impact without having to participate in multiple fundraisers all year long.

Thank you for helping make Great Oaks shine. Let’s Glow, Geckos!
