To support educators in locating and accessing free resources, this Resource Hub compiles over 300 lesson plans, curricula, activities, and tools on food systems education. The Resource Hub centers on the principles of this project: Place-based Education, Michigan Food Systems, Critical Food Literacy, and Environmental Justice. The resource hub spans across grade levels and school subjects.
How to Use the Resource Hub:
Open and explore the resource hub by clicking the top right corner of the spreadsheet to open the resource hub in a new tab.
Search within the resource hub using the find function (ctrl + f for Microsoft Windows users, or command + f for Mac users).
Resources are sorted into columns by "Title", "Webpage Link" address, "Organization Link" address of the resource, "Resource Type", "Key Terms", "Description" of the resource, "Grade Levels" that the resource can be used by, and potential "Learning Objectives".
Educators may download this resource hub by clicking File and selecting either "Make A Copy" or "Download" from the menu bar located at the top left of the resource hub.
Once a copy has been made, and/or downloaded, educators can make their own edits to the document for future reference and use.
Personal edits may include adding new resources, or key terms to make searching easier, or defining new or additional learning objectives associated with a particular resource.
