Tips on Drives for TGGP:

Schools, Churches, Community Groups of all kinds often ask us how they can support TGGP with a Drive and/or Fundraiser.  Here are some tips on how to best partner with us for a successful Drive. Or, click this link for Tips for TGGP Fundraisers.

• Get the word out -  Decide on a date and time line.  As soon as possible, distribute flyers, and use emails, newsletters, social media, etc. to encourage students, membership, and staff to donate.  This also circulates broad awareness of our cause and our Mission.  Clearly state your goals!

• Speaking engagement -  Ask us to come to your location and speak about what TGGP does and how you can help be a part of it.  This is a great way to kick off your campaign, generating momentum.  We can also arrange this over Zoom.
  
  

• Physical collection bins -  If conducting a long-term donation drive (more than one day) we suggest you create these and position them on campus to collect the donations over a period of time.  Once the drive is done, you deliver the donations to TGGP.  We might be able to send a volunteer to retrieve them, but make sure this is agreed to beforehand.

• Social Media -  With your permission, we can post photos and say Thank You via our social media profiles and in turn raise awareness about your group’s philanthropy in the community.  Be proud of what you accomplished.

• Long distance or want to streamline efforts -  For those groups that are farther away geographically and/or you want to cut shipping costs and time, we have options:
  
  

  • Gift Cards - Collect Gift Cards to different vendors.  (We will provide a list.)  These gift cards should be of $5-$10 value each, and are used for our Operation Esteem Program to incentivize youth, ages 12-24, to return for counseling and medical follow up services.
    This is a very valuable tool for healing, and we need this support all year round.

  • Wish Lists - TGGP has wish lists on Amazon and Walmart WISH LIST web sites.  This is a way that your group can shop online and have various items delivered to TGGP directly.
    Your group might also wish to pool their funds and make a higher dollar-value item purchase off of a Wish List.  Make dreams come true!

Get creative - If you have the ability to host a larger event and want to collaborate with us, please reach out to discuss.  We are open to new ideas.
