SPEC Family Resource Network
SPEC Family Resource Network is the hub for supports in Brooks and the County of Newell. The programs in the network support child safety and well-being, child development, and strengthen parenting and caregiver knowledge.
SWIS (Settlement Workers in Schools) empower refugee and immigrant students (Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12) and their families to adapt, adjust, and integrate in the school, the community, and society as a whole. HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Youngsters) works with refugee and immigrant families in the home to support vulnerable and isolated parents in their critical role as their child’s first and most important teacher.
