Grants Pass High School Student Digital Newspaper - The February 2026 Issue
In what is now several different countries, the Byzantine Empire once flourished. Its religion and culture mixed to create a blooming art scene. One of the more notable forms of art from the Byzantine Empire are tile mosaics. Typically, these mosaics depicted religious scenes or notable figures. Tile continues to be an expansive art form today.
For more information on the Byzantine Empire, take a look at Regan Snyder's "GPHS Opinions on the Byzantine Empire". For the month of February, The Scroll has created a Black History section to share important stories in honor of Black History Month. Some other intriguing articles in this Issue are a review of Hell Screen by Caleb Sullivan and "Feminism in the 21st Century" by Lillianne Cook. If you want more context for the ICE walk out that took place on Jan. 29, then read Melanie Campbell's "ICE Walkout" article. Remember to look at Scroll Games for a brain break!
