Support for Learning in the Senior Phase

The Support for Learning Department (SfL)) is always available to discuss the learning needs of pupils and support them in the best way possible as they progress through the Senior Phase.

We also have Alternative Arrangements for Assessments (AAR) in place for pupils who require it. This is suggested and confirmed each year by teachers and the SfL Department. This is based on known diagnoses/needs and is consented to by teachers and parents/carers prior to assessments.

These arrangements ensure that all of our pupils are given the best chance to achieve their full potential.

If you require the ongoing support or feel that you would benefit from support from the department in relation to supported study or AAR please add ‘Learning Support request’ in the comments box on the options form.

As most pupils have progressed through GGS from S1-3 we will already be aware of pupils we feel would benefit from our support going forward but please add it to the options form so that we do not miss anyone.
