This course is tailored to student's interests, exploring and expanding on dance fundamentals, vocabulary, and technical proficiency through a wide array of dance forms, artistic expression and dance conditioning. Fee $15
INTERMEDIATE DANCE (DANCE 2A) 500101
Length: Semester Available for: 9-12 grades
Prerequisite: Teacher Approval or Audition only
This course is for students who have previous dance training and experience and explores the fundamentals of dance, increases knowledge of dance as a communicative art form through improvisation, composition and the development of rigorous technical skill and proficiency. A wide array of dance styles and concepts are explored. This class performs in the company concerts. Fee $15
Length: Year Available for: 9th grade
Prerequisite: Audition only
This course is for students with substantial training and experience and builds upon dance fundamentals and vocabulary. The maintenance and mastery of rigorous technical proficiency, immersion into various dance styles, composition and improvisation will be expected as students prepare for Dance Ensemble, Orchesis or Dance Company. This class performs multiple dances in the company concerts. Fee $15
Length: Year Available for: 10-12 grades
Prerequisite: Audition only. Dance 3 Freshman is strongly advised pre-requisite.
Dancers must have a strong, technical and performance background as well as significant prior training and understanding of dance elements. This ensemble receives instruction from guest artists and master classes to aid in personal growth, artistic exploration and technical mastery. Dancers are challenged as choreographers, improvisers, artists, and conceptual thinkers to prepare them for Orchesis or Dance Company. This ensemble performs multiple dances in the company concerts as well as additional performances and events. Fee $15

Orchesis is a highly advanced performance group, with a focus on choreography, rehearsal and performance with choreography set by both students and guest artists. This company requires a substantial level of discipline, dedication and time. Students are required to perform in the Orchesis and Dance Company concerts, halftimes, assemblies and additional performing opportunities throughout the year. Dancers are challenged as choreographers, improvisers, artists and conceptual thinkers to prepare them for Dance Company. Fee: $450-475
DANCE COMPANY 500450
Length: Year Available for: 10-12 grades
Prerequisite: Audition only. Orchesis is strongly advised pre-requisite
Dance Company is a highly advanced upperclassman performance group, with a focus on choreography, rehearsal and performance by both students and guest artists. This company requires a substantial level of discipline, dedication and time. Students are required to perform in the Orchesis and Dance Company concerts, halftimes, assemblies and additional performing opportunities throughout the year. Dancers are challenged as choreographers, improvisers, artists and conceptual thinkers to prepare them to further their training as collegiate dancers. Fee: $450-475

This course covers various Social/Ballroom dances with a specific emphasis on identifying
and executing proper stylings, techniques and performance qualities. Styles taught include
Waltz, Foxtrot, Latin forms, Swing forms, line and folkdances. This course performs in the
company concerts. Fee $15
HIP-HOP (DANCE 2B) 500111
Length: Semester Available for: 9-12 grades
This course explores the the four main elements of Hip-Hop culture, focusing on various Hip-Hop dance styles. Students will gain an appreciation and understanding of dance as a means of self-expression and cultural identity, within the context of Hip-Hop culture. This class performs multiple dances in the company concerts. Fee $15
ZUMBA (DANCE 3B) 500222
Length: Semester Available for: 9-12 grades
Zumba is a dance-based fitness class that fuses high energy and motivating music with unique and easy-to follow routines. Featured movement and music is derived from popular forms including Hip-Hop, Afro-Caribbean, Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue, Mambo, Reggaeton and Calypso. This course is for all levels of fitness (no dance experience required) and includes cardio and resistance training. Fee: $10
YOGA Conditioning (DANCE 1B) 500011
Length: Semester Available for: 10-12 grades
This course is open to all students who are interested in learning fundamental body conditioning and restorative rest practices, including strength training, flexibility, endurance, coordination, focus, and agility through the principles of yoga, resistance training and other movement practices. Fee: $10
