Check In: Students who are more than 10 minutes late for school will need an "admit" pass to go to class. Students must go to the Counseling Center to check in and obtain an admit pass. Students must have a note from parents with the student's full name, student ID number, date and time, reason for the tardy, parent/guardian signature, and phone number.
*If you are less than 10 minutes late for class, just go straight to class and the teacher will mark you tardy.
Check Out: Students need a "street" pass to be off campus during school hours. It is preferred that students bring a note to the Counseling Center before school to obtain a street pass for later in the day. (Students just need to show their teacher the street pass to be excused from class).
Parents/guardians and/or emergency contacts will need to come inside the school and show ID in order to check a student out of school. For the safety of each student, he/she will only be released to those persons listed on their student registration card. We strongly suggest that you send a note to get a street pass if your student needs to leave early.
Absences are only excused for the following reasons: illness/doctor appointments, death in the immediate family, family emergencies, and previously approved school/family activities (approved by administration). Please turn in written excusal notes within 3 days of the student’s absence. Parents are encouraged to seek prior approval for their student’s extended absences. If approved by administration, those absences will not negatively reflect on the citizenship grade. The administration may require documentation for frequent or extended absences.
