Chromebook Powerwash Tutorial

To Power Wash a Chromebook follow the Steps Below.

Step 1. On the Chromebook you will...

a. Press and hold the Esc key,

b. press and hold the Refresh key,

c. then press the Power button.

Note: all 3 buttons need to be pressed at the same time.

You will see this screen.

Step 2. Press and hold Ctrl + then press D

Note: Both buttons need to be pressed at the same time.

Step 3. You will see this screen Press Enter

Step 4. You will see a red exclamation point, saying OS verification is OFF.

Press Enter on this screen.

You will see this screen, be patient.

If you see this screen, continue to be patient. the Chromebook will restart in a few moments.

After the chromebook restarts, you will see.

Welcome to your Chromebook.

Step 5. Click on the Get Started button and follow the steps on your chromebook to get setup.

The Chromebook will Need to connect to WiFi

Your Chromebook will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list.
Select GSDGuest.
Password: learning (all lowercase)

These next steps are only needed If you see the Who's using this Chromebook? screen.

After WiFi setup,

If you see Who's using this Chromebook?

Click on the tiny Enterprise enrollment button on the bottom left.

Complete Enterprise enrollment

You will enter any users (staff or student) Granite Schools email address.

Note: Any staff can complete the enrollment on any device in Granite. It does not have to be the user of that device. Tech Coaches, Librarians, Teachers can use thier own credentials for enterprise enrollment.

Click on Next

Enter the users password.

Click on Next

After the enrollment is complete, you can click on Done.
