In February, students work on an "Influential Person" report, in which they study the life of an influential person and prepare a presentation to tell others about their life and how they changed the world. Our main source of information for these reports are books from the "Who Was?" series, but students are also welcome to add to their knowledge by using other sources. Research for and creation of the report will all happen while in the classroom.
We will have an Influential People Showcase on March 6 from 8:30-9:30 where families are invited to come to check out the reports by all 3rd-Grade students. Students will have their presentation cycling and be ready to answer questions about their person. They are encouraged to come in a costume or bring a prop that represents the person they have researched.
