We wanted to learn more about the soccer community at Kennedy, so we interviewed our coaches and players. Coach Ballard, the girls soccer coach, stated, “I feel like the soccer community is a really good community cause there’s a lot of kids in this community that are passionate about soccer so it makes coaching it easier.”
Coach Walgamott, the boys soccer coach, was also interviewed, and in the interview she stated, “I do think the soccer is a good community because its an awesome place to see growth and development with youth and I got to work with both girls and boys and there are a lot of good coaches.”
Some of the students on the girls soccer team were also interviewed, such as an 8th grade student named Sherlyn. In her interview, she said, “yes, I think the soccer community is a good community to be playing in because the coach is nice and everybody has a chance to play.” It was clear to us that the soccer community at Kennedy is strong, and if you want to play next year you should give it a try!
