Unique Learning System Curriculum
Program Over View Information:
A comprehensive and explicit specialized curriculum that Includes Math, Reading, Social Studies and Science Lessons. Lesson Plan Templates, Individual Assignments, Unit Check-Points and Benchmark Skill Assessments are offered via computer format and/or pencil/paper format. These assessments evaluate academic skills according to Grade level and standard. The assessment information should be included in the student PLAFF part of the IEP and IEP goals are generated based on assessment and student profile data.
The thematic units come with Pre- made lesson plans that incorporate the " I do, We do, and "You do" learning format. The lessons offer a detailed script of exactly how to present and teach the lesson. The math lessons come with printable instructional materials. The ELA reading comprehension lessons have picture supports that correlate with each story. Each lesson activity differientates instruction by offering 3 different lesson levels based on your students current learning needs.
The K-12 Student Learning Profiles, Self-Help Skills Profile and Transition Profile ( for students 14 and older) are given at the beginning of the school year. They should be used to guide IEP goal writing and IEP PLAFFS. The K12 profile will guide you to determining the correct differentiated level ( level 1,2,3) your student needs. The levels indicate what level of prompting is needed to complete the instructional activity.
All ULS lessons are Aligned with the Essential Element Standards
ULS also has an online leveled book library called n2y Library guide. The Library assigns printable online stories based on your student's current reading level. ( Books are available to non-print readers as well). Stories may be printed and laminated with velcro for repeated instructional use.
