On-Site Outpatient Therapy at Grand Blanc High School

Julie Doyle is now serving Grand Blanc Schools FULL TIME!

Grand Blanc High School now has an on-site LMSW available by appointment from Easterseals of Michigan, Julie Doyle. Julie is an experienced clinician, chosen for her expertise with youth, experience in a school setting and in trauma services. She is also certified as a school social worker. Julie will see students on a referral basis onsite at GBHS. She will be supported by Katie Hendricks, Clinical Supervisor and Katie Kogelmann, Director of Genesee Family Services.

Parents/Guardians will be contacted by a counselor before any student is referred to Easterseals of Michigan. Easterseals bills Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances. Registration (intake) with Easterseals can be done at the school or the local Easterseals office, and will require a legal guardian to be present. We hope that this additional service will allow students that have therapy needs to see a licensed and trusted individual while relieving issues such as transportation and scheduling that might interfere with a student getting the support they need. Holly and Clarkston Schools both have similar partnerships with Easterseals.

If you have questions about this new partnership, please contact your student’s counselor.

Mental Health Resources

Grand Blanc Community Schools is proud to partner with many area resources to provide mental health intervention and counseling for our students and families either on an ongoing or emergency basis.

The 2018-2023 Strategic Plan at Grand Blanc Community Schools stresses the need to find meaningful mental health partnerships to assist our students and families, as the mental health of children is a growing concern nationwide.

Please contact your school counselor or student liaison if you think your child is in need of help and you need assistance.
