Volunteer and Defendant Dress Code

Do:

·        Dress nicely

·        Jeans and a nice shirt are okay

·        Skirts must be NO MORE than 3 inches above the knee

Do NOT wear:

·        Shorts

·        Flip flops

·        Holey jeans

·        Sweatpants

·        Short skirts

·        Excessive makeup

·        Tight/revealing clothing

·        Offensive content

·        Hats

Yes, this dress code is more strict than the GHS dress code but less strict than the dress code of many higher level courts.  Failure to follow a judge’s guidelines at the County Court or District Court level could result in being removed from the courtroom, fines, or even jail time.

Please arrive early, sign in, and be seated.  Turn your phone off and respect the instruction of all court personnel.
