Ms. Arooj (2B)
2B Teacher
My name is Arooj Imran, and I am honored to serve as the 2B homeroom teacher for the 2025–2026 academic school year. I’d like to share a little about myself.
I was born in Pakistan and moved to the United States at the age of five. For more than 30 years, I have called the Bay Area home and have grown up deeply connected to the MCA community. I am a proud mother of two wonderful children—a 14-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. In 2019, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley. As a proud Granada alum, I hold a deep appreciation for the rich traditions and strong values that define this school. It is both an honor and a privilege to return as an educator, nurturing and guiding the future leaders of tomorrow.

I am someone who enjoys teaching and learning from my students as well. Knowing that teaching is such a rewarding occupation and expecting the highest rewards from Allah (swt) motivates me deeply. I am passionate about fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where each child feels valued and motivated to learn. This year, we will be exploring a variety of exciting and challenging topics, and I am committed to supporting each student’s growth and development. This is my seventh year teaching at GIS. I have a eleven-year-old son who is in 6th grade in Granada. I love crocheting and reading to get relaxed. InshaAllah, we will have a beneficial and blessed year. Let's remember each other in our duas inshaAllah!
