We started a new Unit: The Man and the Trees. Students have a packet and a copy is on Google Classroom. I will assign HW Daily on GC. Please check.

3- Stage 3 will take place on Tuesday, Feb 20 to finalize the 3 winners in the Arabic Spelling Bee.

Updates For January and February 2024:

We started last Week with the HW of writing each spelling Bee 3 times on lined paper.

Students wrote the words from row 1 to row 6, 3 times each.

1- For today,  Jan 29, students need to write the words in row 7 and row 8, 3 times each.

2- Jan 30 Write rows 9 and 10 three times each (Please find the spelling Bee words in Google Classroom)

Only do the second page from the packet which is for 5th grade.

Each time you write the words, staple your lined papers together and I will collect them on the week of Feb 5th insha Allah.

3- Study for the Vocabulary quiz from your book and packet on Thursday, Feb 1. Pigeon and the Bee.

4- Do not forget to submit any reading assignment from last week on FlipGrid. https://flip.com/1a0d1d40 

5- End of Unit Test Pigeon and the Bee on Feb 6.

6- Spelling Bee Test on the week of Feb 12 insha Allah.

Update till Dec 13, 2023:

• We started a new lesson the Pigeon and the Bee

• Went over the vocabulary words for the lesson

• Went over the vocabulary verbs for the lesson

• Unscrambled the first part of the story

• Practiced for the spelling test on Dec 11/some students had a retake on Dec 12

• We went over the opposites of the words in the lesson

• Students went over the difference between the words نظرت and رأت

• Students are practicing using the words in sentences

• Next in the packet, we will go over the negation of past, and present tense verbs and future verbs

• Students will also go over the expressions in the book on page 22

• Students must know the definition of the vocabulary words in Arabic on page 8 of the packet

• Students will be able to complete a conversation using the correct verbs on page 11 and write a mini conversation between the pigeon and the bee

• They have a reading passage on page 12 to practice how to save a person from drowning

• Last but not least, students will do the end-of-unit project on page 13 by choosing only one prompt from the 3 prompts provided.

• Note that Arabic Day will take place on Tuesday, December 19th; please make sure your son/daughter comes dressed in traditional clothing, and if they do not have one they need their uniforms.

• Congratulations to our 3 Winners for stage 1 global competition with the Kutubee Reading platform, Tasneem, Hiba, and Fatima. Please keep them in your duaas for stages 2 and 3. The results will be announced on December 18, 2023, Insha Allah.

Update for the Week 10 Oct 16-20, 2023:

• HW 10/17 Finish the Story Plan!

• City Village Mice Project/Story Rough Draft is Due on Thursday Ocotber 19, 2023

Draft 2 of Project Due on Wednesday Oct 25, 2023

Final Project Due on Tuesday Oct 31, 2023

• End of Unit Test City and Village Mice on Mon/Tuesday, October 30 and 31. Please study from your packet, the book, and the assigned HW. Students need to know the vocab words including verbs, nouns, adjectives, etc. They need to know the difference between the City and Village, and they need to answer questions about the story. Grammar is also needed: Singular, Dual, Plural, What kind of verb? Negation of future tense verbs etc...
