When ATEG comes together for its 2024 conference, we will focus on equity and its role in grammar instruction. As an organization committed to inclusive grammar and language instruction, ATEG places a great deal of emphasis and value on the concept of equity. By prioritizing equity in grammar instruction, educators can craft inclusive and meaningful instruction that empowers students.
Some of the questions we'll be exploring are as follows:
What does equitable grammar instruction look like?
What instructional practices can teachers use to make their grammar instruction effective?
What challenges stand in the way of equitable grammar instruction? How can teachers overcome those challenges?
What key principles, ideas, and concepts should teachers keep in mind to center equity in their grammar instruction?
How can ATEG work as a community to support equity in grammar instruction?
How can equity-focused educators work together and support one another?
We look forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh, July 12–13, to discuss these questions and more!
Registration is only $30 and includes a one-year ATEG membership. Submit a proposal here before June 1. Register now by completing the form below.
