At Home Practice

It is crucial to practice with your child at home to help them reach mastery in all their fourth grade skills. I strongly encourage you to read with your child for at least 20 minutes each night and ask them questions along the way to check their understanding. This allows them to grow in both their reading fluency and their reading comprehension, both of which are extremely important. It also allows you to ensure they are making progress over time. 

In addition to reading, I also strongly encourage you to practice multiplication and division facts with your child each night as well. Almost every skill in fourth grade math requires students to know their facts in order to perform that skill. We will be practicing them often in class, but your child will master them much quicker with at home review as well.
