My family is the most important thing to me! My family includes my parents, my two younger siblings, and my dog. 

*My dad, Josh, works as a university development director at Iowa State.

*My mom, Tricia, works as a K-6 STEM teacher at an elementary school. 

*My brother, Andrew, is in his third year at Iowa State University where he studies computer engineering. He also has an internship doing cyber security at John Deere.

*My sister, Jaci, is joining Andrew and starting her first year of college at Iowa State. She is majoring in architecture and is a member of the honors college there. 

*Our dog, Naya, is a three year old shepard mix. 

I am so fortunate to have all of them in my life!

Fun Fact: I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade! I am the oldest child in my family and the oldest grandchild on both sides of my family, so growing up I was always sitting my siblings and cousins down and teaching them what I was learning in school :)

I went to Creighton University in Omaha, NE where I received my Bachelor's degree in elementary education in December of 2021. I completed my student teaching in fall of 2021 in 5th grade at Thomas Elementary and knew I wanted to stay in Gretna full time after graduation! 

I finished my first year of teaching last school year here at GES and had the most amazing time. The students and staff are some of the best around! I'm so excited to take all I learned in my first year and get started with year #2!
