About Mr. Slusher

Mr. Slusher’s love for science was ignited when his mother bought him a book called Science Experiments You Can Eat! Mr. Slusher attended Dana College where he received a BA in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He went on to work and study at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Mr. Slusher worked in labs researching molecular biology, genetics, and viruses. Moving to the University of Nebraska-Omaha, his focus shifted to secondary education. At UNO, Mr. Slusher completed his teaching certificate and an MS in Science Education. He is currently working on an administrative endorsement through the University of Nebraska Kearney.

Mr. Slusher lives in Gretna with his wife and three children. His wife is an occupational therapist. Mr. Slusher enjoys theater or sporting events, playing golf, and watching movies. This summer the family traveled to the Michigan UP and Colorado.
