Pierce Middle School is the school building that Birdie primarily supports. She is a certified therapy dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Her handler is Marc Weaver, who is a School Psychologist at Pierce and North High School

She is described as Sociable and calm golden retriever, who is also eager to please, loyal, and obedient.
