About Our Choirs

Choir is a musical ensemble of singers.  Before you go saying something like, “I don’t know how to sing,” let me tell you that 1)  Everybody has a singing voice 2) Everyone can use their singing voice 3) Your voice is absolutely wonderful right where it is, and can only get better the more you use it.  The mission of our choir is to help you become comfortable with your natural- given musical instrument; the voice!  You will learn how to read music, sing in multiple part harmony, use healthy vocal techniques, and learn performance skills in a concert setting.  With the right tools and instruction, you, too, can be capable of using your voice to its fullest potential.

Grandville Middle School Choirs participate in a variety of activities such as singing the National Anthem at the LMCU Ballpark for the Whitecaps, Caroling at Van Andel, and participating in MSVMA District Choral Festival. Students who take private lessons have the option to participate in Solo & Ensemble in the Spring.

Grandville Middle School Choir students were featured on National TV in December 2020 honoring their director. The students had the opportunity to sing alongside American Idol finalists Clay Aiken & Ruben Studdard.
