Grading for 9th-11th Grade

Students may make up work or retest an assessment that was assigned prior to March 13 at the discretion of the teacher & retesting policy.

AP Students will be complete when AP testing is finished.

Options Students Can Choose Per Class (if passing a class prior to school shutdown):

  • If a student wishes to earn a grade then their course grade (80%) is determined by their grade as of March 13.

  • The “Exam” grade (20%) is determined by the remote learning grade.

  • Student will get a letter grade for the course ONLY if all remote learning work is completed at a satisfactory level.

  • Grades can only go up, not down.

  • If all remote learning work is not completed to a satisfactory level, student will simply earn credit.

  • If a student wishes to earn credit for a course AND they were passing as of March 13, the student must satisfactorily complete all distance learning work.

  • Student will earn credit for the course.

If a student was failing a class prior to school shutdown:

No Credit

  • If a student was failing as of March 13, and satisfactorily completes all remote learning work, the student will earn an “E” for second semester in this course.

  • (E = credit, but 0.00 toward GPA)

  • If a student was failing as of March 13, and does not participate in remote learning work, the student will not earn credit (NC) for the course and will have to enroll in Summer School or Credit Recovery.

Any student failing as of March 13 who was absent due to a medical reason or excused absence AND missed work/assessments can make those assignments up to qualify for a passing grade and earn credit.

Seminar is a pass/fail depending on the grade as of March 13

NO Employability Scores will be given.

Students will choose between Grade/Credit for each class during the week of May 25-29.
