A message from Principal Gelmi: 

Welcome back all from Spring Break. Looking forward to finishing our year strong here at Central Elementary. This spring we have a lot of activities and assessments that happen in our building. This week some of our students (3rd and 4th grade only) have started M-STEP testing. This is the state testing that happens once a year and it is a great opportunity for our students to show what they know. We also have our district assessments coming up here in the beginning of May which is a short two weeks away. Please help our kids do the best they can on our assessments by getting good sleep and a good start to the mornings as they do their best to showcase what they have learned throughout the year. This information is valuable to us as a building as it helps us take a look at what we can do better or differently to grow the learning of all of our students. The assessments really help us know how we can grow as educators including what we need to focus on for further professional development. Thanks so much for sharing your kids with us as we move toward the busy spring year of school and finishing strong!
