A message from Principal Gelmi:
Happy Valentine’s Day Central Families. Our second week of Parent Teacher conferences are coming up next week, if you haven’t scheduled a conference with your child’s teacher please do so. Information is below to sign up for a time if you haven’t already. Thank You to our PTC for supporting and sponsoring our Donuts with Grownups! It was so great to see so many families Thursday and Friday morning! Next week Thursday (February 19th) morning on our half day we will be having our glow party as a PBIS celebration with our kids. They earned that from the last spin in our January assembly. Thanks for sharing your kids with us and have a great Valentine weekend!

This is the time of year we see a LOT of illness in schools. PLEASE refer to the district's policy regarding when to keep your child home.
Please send extra clothes with your kids that they can keep in their lockers in case of an accident. The office is also running low on the following sizes:
8/10 pants
adult 2X in athletic shorts
We find it best that the pants have an athletic or sweatpant feel. Thank you for helping to restock our supplies!
Registration for the Class of 2039 is opening up on February 2nd, 2026!
More information can be found at gpsbulldogs.org or clicking here.
Please join us for a Kindergarten Orientation that will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 7pm. This event will be held in the auditorium at the High School.

Absences & Tardies:
Please remember to call our Attendance Hotline anytime your child will be absent or tardy for school. If we do not receive a call, the absence will be marked as unexcused. Consistent attendance is extremely important. Missing school - whether for a full day or even part of a day- can have a significant impact on your child’s academic progress and success.
Early Pickups and Appointments:
If you need to pick your child up early due to an appointment, please call the office when you are on your way so we can do our best to have your child in the office when you arrive. Please send a note or email your child’s teacher that day as a reminder.
We are excited to announce that our Volunteer Background Check Form is now electronic! No more paper copies that need to be turned into the school office. Please allow 1 week for background checks to be processed ahead of your volunteer event. For a direct link to the form please click HERE
These forms do need to be filled out each year. If you are unable to use the digital form, please reach out to our Administration Offices for assistance.
