Hi! I'm Mrs. Ziegler—GPHS alum, proud Gopher parent, and your Senior Class Advisor. After serving 15 years as a police officer for the City of Grand Prairie, I returned to my roots here at GPHS to help shape the next generation. With deep ties to our community and connections across the city, I work hard to bring exciting opportunities and memorable experiences to our senior class.

My daughter, Caitlyn, graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 2024, and my son, Colton, is currently a Junior. My husband, Bryan (also a Gopher grad), is a Criminal Investigations Lieutenant with the DeSoto Police Department—and you’ll often see him on campus lending a hand or cheering on our Gophers.

My goal is simple: to make your senior year unforgettable. Let’s make the most of every moment. You can always find me in Room 900—come say hi!

Hi! I'm Jericka Hernandez Nava, your Student Council Sponsor Sponsor here at GPHS. This is my fourth year at GP, and my third year sponsoring Student Council. I joined this incredible group because I’m a strong advocate for student leadership, and I believe every student has a voice that deserves to be heard. Student Council offers the perfect platform for students to share their ideas, organize events, and shape the school culture together. I am proud to be a part of that journey!

Outside the classroom, you’ll often find me attending sporting events, concerts, or planning my next travel adventure. I believe in the power of having fun and experiencing the world, and I encourage my students to do the same while making the most of their high school experience.

I’m always happy to chat, whether you need help with Student Council ideas or just want to drop by and say hello. You can find me in Room 613, let’s make your time at GPHS memorable and full of opportunity!

Hi y’all! I’m Ms. Eligio, a proud Gopher alum!

After 18 years in healthcare—including 13 years as an EMT—I returned to my alma mater to help students grow into the next generation of healthcare professionals. Now in my second year of teaching, I’m honored to serve as a co-advisor for both Student Council and the Senior Class.

One of my biggest goals is to strengthen campus culture by empowering students through leadership opportunities in Student Council. Whether it’s planning events, building school spirit, or supporting classmates, I love stepping in wherever I’m needed to make a positive impact.
