Teachers are very fundamental for our youth. Without teachers, the world would collapse because of poor lack of care.
In order to become a middle school science teacher, you need a bachelor's degree or higher in the career. After you graduate, you have to complete a program called Education Preparation Program (EPP). Science teachers spent about 39.8 hours a week teaching or in other words, about 8 hours a day at school. They get paid just about $57,091 a year and it gets progressively bigger, the more years you work there. Teachers only get about 12 to 15 days off a year. Some skills that would be helpful in teaching are Critical thinking, Patience, Communication, Organization, Imaginative thinking, Leadership, Teamwork, and Time Management. Being a teacher, you can also get health insurance such as medical, dental, and vision coverage. They also get sick days and paid leaves.
You are able to bond with your students and staff creating a relationship between one another. When being a teacher and teaching something, you can sometimes make things confusing, but when you students finally understand the (aha or ohhh) moment is everything. Working as a teacher, you will not become super rich. There are very few promotion options and getting promoted isn’t often. And specialized teachers often teach the same lesson multiple times a day. You are constantly moving around. A day in the life of a science teacher is like: To Do:
Take Attendance
Grade Tests
Extra help for 1st period students
Lunch duty
Hall duty
PD after school
Go home
Teaching is fundamental for students, in order to follow dreams we have to learn from other people who already mastered the skills. We will still have a need for learning because the future is held in the hands of us, young kids.
The Reason why I want to become a middle school teacher is because I love middle school, kids, and bonding with others. I think I would be a really good fit because I love helping kids reach their potential goals. I am also known for being the one to help others learn things differently. I love challenges and would always find a way for my students to use their brains. I am organized, not completely organized, but my work will always be organized.
