In Missouri, Hamilton born and raised
He was the seventh child out of twelve siblings
He started growing up with just little money trying to squeeze for just a little honey
At age eight, he had to buy his clothes
Money was going scarce he could barely buy his food
He went to school hoping for education
Life was good until he graduate
Once he finished high school
Because of his condition
He started working in clerk positions
He formed a love for stores
They were like his best friend
He depended on them to bring the money in
His father got him a job right before his death
Yes it was sad, it was bringing down his strength
Speaking of health, he got really sick
To a point where he just couldn't breathe
He had to move
Away from his family
It was a hard time
But it was harder to breathe
He moved to drier climate in Denver, Colorado
Where he started claiming fame in eighteen zero zero
He got his own store
Wow! Was that great and the only hopes now is to achieve much more
JCPenney was a hard working man
Who achieve much more than a regular man
Even though he is dead his legacy still lives on
