All incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are eligible to try out for the Stingers.
I do my best to keep the cost down as much as possible. You are required to purchase your costumes and gear (they are yours to keep), but for competition costs we generally try to do fundraisers. If you'd like to see an estimated cost sheet for the year (with an itemized breakdown), click here!
Absolutely!!! Dance experience is a plus, but is not necessary. As long as you are willing to work hard, practice, and learn, I'm happy to have you on my team. :)
I do my best to work around everyone's schedule and find practice times that are agreeable for all. That being said, my goal is for the team to practice 1 to 2 times a week after school. Please keep in mind that if we take part in competition or a showcase, we may have extra practices in order to ensure we are well-prepared.
Practices will always take place on campus at WAMS, either in the gym or the MPR.
Yes!! The other teachers and I communicate with each other regularly about scheduling. We want to make sure you have every opportunity possible available to you, and are always able to find a compromise for any scheduling conflicts that arise.
