The WAMS Stingers Dance Team are a close-knit group of ladies that love to dance!

We perform choreographed routines at home football and basketball games.

We enjoy dancing in a wide variety of styles, including hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. In addition to performing at games, we partner up with our big sisters, the GPHS Jacketeers, to take part in large scale school events such as the Homecoming Parade, games at GPISD Stadium, Winter and Spring showcase, and competitions.

Last year (2019-2020), we placed first in our division

at the Showtime International competition.

However, we know that being a Stinger is about more than just dancing!

As representatives of our school, we recognize the responsibility of being an example to others, being good citizens and helping out our community. Our charisma on the dance floor is matched only by our positive attitude and is constantly on display! Whether we are at competition, at a game, or simply walking down the hall on our way to class, we strive to interact with others in a positive and respectful way. Moreover, we place a big emphasis on working as a team to be supportive of each other.
