About Me - Tenaglio

Cynthia Tenaglio has been a Pre-AP and AP Chemistry teacher at Galena Park High School in Galena Park, Texas since 2018. She serves as National Honor Society adviser and is a member of the district's Aspiring Administrators Academy. She previously taught on-level, Pre-AP, and AP Chemistry at North Shore Senior High School.

Mrs. Tenaglio was raised in Galena Park ISD, having attended Cimarron Elementary, Cobb Sixth Grade Campus, and North Shore Middle School. She is a graduate of North Shore Senior High School. In high school, she was band drum major, an all-state flute player, President of the National Honor Society, and member of the Student Council.

After high school, she attended Rice University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. In college, she was a mentor through PAIR Houston, a Peer Academic Advisor, and a Lovett College Fellow.

Mrs. Tenaglio also holds an M.Ed. in Administration from Lamar University. She was an H-E-B Education Awards State Semi-Finalist in March 2018 and the Galena Park ISD Rookie of the Year in May 2015.

During her free time, Mrs. Tenaglio enjoys reading, cooking with her husband, Michael, and playing ball with her dog, Marcy.
