"Enter to Learn, Leave to Lead!"
Our classes teach Leadership and Citizenship. These classes have a military format and rules that we follow, but it is not connected to the Military and does not require any compulsory service. Our students are given a Cadet Uniform that they are required to wear one day a week for a grade. The uniform is provided to the students at no cost but must be returned at the end of the year. Other subjects that Cadets study are Drill & Ceremony, Map Reading, American Hero's, How to become a Citizen, Patriotism, History of the American Flag and the National Anthem. Our students will earn Rank, Awards and Ribbons for the following: performing at GPISD Board Meetings and football games, marching in local parades, competing at drill meets and participating in community service events.
Our district provides benefits and resources for families with active-military members. We are dedicated to show support through our military initiative, campus transition program, and various community resources.
The LOTC / JROTC cadets In our program are never under any obligation to join the military.
