Sophia’s Success
On October 11, 2008, a new life was laid on the earth, and Sophia Vargas was born. Both of her parents were from Mexico, but they moved here to Houston, Texas, where Sophia was born. As she was becoming a little older, she was brought to daycare. She was later enrolled at Woodland Acres Elementary School. She made many friends and is now in middle school. She is in all advanced classes, has very good grades, and is respectful to teachers and adults. She was the youngest child out of three other siblings named Victoria, Cristian, and Carolina. She also has a dog named Coco.
Sophia is interested in many things, some of which include art and music. She loves expressing herself through art and letting her creativity shine through. She is good at drawing and sketching. Sophia really shows passion for singing and music considering she is practicing the guitar as a hobby and listens to music 24/7. Her talent at doing both music and art is very good and is still in the process of advancing her skill each day. She loves talking to her friends and is very silly and fun to be with. She always enjoys talking to people and meeting someone new. She likes to play games such as Minecraft and other online games. She is fun to be around and likes people's company.
Sophia has accomplished a lot of things in her 14 years of living. When she was in elementary school, she participated in performing a poem competition and won first place. She was then moved to compete in the district contest and won 3rd place. She has always been good at performing as she tried out for the talent show. She was asked to sing and to do a performance at the beginning of the year for 5th grade celebrating the new school and she said yes. It was an amazing performance. When she was about in 1st grade she played softball and made it to an all-star player. Sophia has made many trophies while playing. She does well in volleyball and basketball being on the A team in 7th and 8th grade as well as joining track but only in the 8th grade. She works very well performing in sports and is proud of what she has done.
In the future, she would like to stay in all advanced classes and excel in all of the subjects. She would like to be motivated throughout the days so she can be productive, healthy, and keep her life together. When she is older she wants to study to be a dentist or a psychologist because those two jobs are very interesting to her and it would be a dream come true. Sophia hopes she goes on the right path in life; if things don't go as expected, she'll see what life has in store for her.
