6th Grade | Before I got glasses
Three or four paragraphs about your first year in middle school.
The 2019-2020 school year was the first time the 6th grade Encounters students would be staying at WAMS. (In the past, they went to Cobb Elementary one day a week.)
I was looking forward to meeting all of them, but my coworkers were concerned that I might be a little too tough. I assured them that I could be sweet and reminded them that I had taught 6th graders before. Of course, it was back in 1991 when I was 28 years younger... and was just about 28 years old. Interesting.
The kids showed up and they were the most wonderful and talented students I'd ever run across. I had the great pleasure of seeing them every day, watching them learn and grow, and putting their talents to use making some amazing drawings, dioramas, and Coat of Arms shields.
