On November 2, 2007, Juan and Yajaira received their second child in Downtown Houston Texas. A four-pound, thirteen-ounce baby boy named Gerardo. When he was born he already had a great 3-year-old sister named Deyanira. Even though he was born prematurely he was healthy and strong, but he still had to struggle with some medical issues including asthma. But he didn’t let this stop him. Gerardo is now 14 years old, five foot nine inches, and is currently an eighth-grader in Woodland Acres Middle School.

When Gerardo turned 3 he started going to head start which was not one of his favorite places due to him feeling out of place. This was because he could only speak Spanish but he still pushed through this language barrier and graduated head start and proceeded to Pyburn Elementary. This is where Gerardo started making friends with people and where all his dreams started. This is also the same time where most of his hobbies started.

Gerardo has many Hobbies. One of Gerardo's most Favorite Hobbies is playing video games. This is not something he is very good at but likes to do. Gerardo likes to learn new things and played football for his school as a starting offensive tackle. Although he was not the best he believed he could get better and possibly be one of the best. Although Gerardo has many hobbies, he doesn't have any notable talents.

When Gerardo was in fourth grade he decided to participate in a UIL competition where he scored fourth place. This made him very happy mainly because he didn’t care about the position because he was only doing it for fun. Another one of Gerardo’s accomplishments is that he has always had A and B honor rolls and sometimes has even received A honor roll. So to go with this Gerardo has never received anything below a B on one of his report cards. One of his bigger accomplishments was that he played baseball and he along with his team went undefeated for one whole season. These accomplishments led to many goals.

One of his goals is to graduate high school and be in the top 5% of his class and hopefully receive a scholarship to get a bachelor's degree. One of his biggest goals is to become a NASCAR Engineer or an Architect. One of his biggest goals in life is to live in a mansion in the countryside where he can have tons of land to do his favorite activities. Although Gerardo has only been on this earth for 14 years he hopes to accomplish all his dreams and many more to come.
