Omar Martinez, Jr. A Biography

Omar Martinez, Jr. was born on August 2, 2011, at  7:32 in the morning at The Texas Women’s Hospital in Houston Texas. His parents are Omar and Jessica Martinez. Omar was named after his dad, Omar Martinez, Sr.  They took their 1st born baby boy home where their extended family was joyfully waiting to welcome Omar Jr. home. Omar is the 1st grandchild on his mother's side and the 8th on his father's side. Omar was always active, playful, and happy at a young age. Omar was happy being an only child but then four years later Omar got a little brother named Adan Martinez. Omar was ecstatic about the fact he was going to be a big brother. Omar only has 1 sibling, and he does not want any more. 

Omar currently attends Woodland Acres Middle School as an 8th grader. He enjoys playing video games, reading books, collecting sports cards, and playing all sports. He was on the WAMS basketball team last year. He hopes to be on the team again this year on the A team. Omar is in all advanced classes and strives to do his best in school.

Omar has been on the A-B honor roll for most of his time at school. And since he has wanted to strive for the best since he had always had since the start of elementary. He also has played at his local YMCA on the basketball team and he did well for most of his time playing at the YMCA

Omar’s short-term goals are to improve his basketball skills and get on the A team for basketball this year at WAMS. Some of his other short-term goals are to get better grades at school, be one of the best students at his school, and make the A honor roll or A B honor roll. One long-term goal is to study and become an engineer at the University of Houston or the University of MIT.  While he is at the University he wants to play college basketball at the University of Houston. But for now, he wants to enjoy being a kid and make the most of life as a middle school er.
