The Middle Ages 

Introduction

The middle ages was a time when people started to create items and types of laws, different ways to have fun outside, and ways for people to protect themselves. Hence The Feudalism System, Sports, and Shields .

Feudalism

Feudalism was the practice that meant if the country was not governed by it instead be by a single lord, and was originated in europe and was created in the middle ages specifically 10th or 13th century , in addition to the feudal system was based around the feudal triangle. and at the top of the triangle is the king, and after the king is the nobles, also below the nobles are the knights, and finally the peasants and the surfs. The peasants and the surf are important because they because they worked on most of the land, crops, and wool and other resources.  But the lords are also important because they protect the serfs in return the serfs work for the lords. The kight are also important because they acted like middle aged police officers to protect the people in that area. Nobles also played an important role because all the nobles played an important role around the kingdom. And the was very important because controlled all the land and made decisions for the town and decides what is allowed and what is not allowed. But the lord and church men benefited the most because they we they richest in the town most of the time  but the peasants were not so lucky because they had a very small amount of right and little power above the people around because they were at the bottom of the feudal triangle but as a group, peasants did have power to threaten the king's power . But feudalism ended because the black death caused it to end by dropping the population of the town and cities which also caused a drop in labor which meant no people working and also it made  the decline in manufacturing.and it also made a decline in the economy and society.

Shields

Shields are a piece of metal that is meant to protect somebody from danger, and they originated from eastern europe in the middle ages but more specifically the 10th century. And was created by the Mycenaean Greeks and they used them to make their enemies scared when they went to fight in battle. They also had many different variations that had different uses like closed ranged attacks because they could have a spike for attacking enemies and defending from enemies swords and arrows, or to use it as passive protection to not hurt anyone but they did use the shields for a lot of violence like war and battles. But when shields made their way to eastern europe it was already the 16th century and they were most famous for being held by knights. But shields are also used to display family crests or peoples own personal crests which represent the family or person with images, patterns, designs and more. And the shields would be worn on the shoulder or the arm or held the hands as well if they were in hand to hand combat. And the shields would used by vikings to protect them quickly, and that is why most of the vikings shields you see in a  history museum are small and round and also they were made out of wood or other lightweight material, so they are lightweight and easy to carry around, and also meant their swords were also adapted to the art of fencing. because the shields are so light. Vikings also used shields on the sides all around on their ship to protect them from enemies projectiles like arrows, rocks and other projectiles from enemies that may damage the ship or hurt anyone on board of the ship if they are being attacked in lakes, rivers, and oceans too.

Sports

Sports was created in the middle ages, but more specifically 776 bc in greece were the first records of sports were recorded, and sports was created by the ancient greeks and was created in honor of zeus who is one of the many greek gods, but one of the first sports in the world was lacrosse. Lacrosse is a game or sport where you use sticks with nets on the end and try to catch a ball with the net and throw the ball past the goalie into the net to score on the opposing team. But boxing was invented in greece to be a memorial for achilles friend patroclus near the of the trojan war.and greece also invented wrestling in 708 bc because they wanted to train greek soldiers hand to hand fighting in case they needed it. And they also used wrestling for the olympic games because it was a very popular sport in greece back then. Archery was invented by the ancient Egyptians because they needed it for hunting and for fighting in war and was originally made in 20,000 bc. But in 1252 it was a very important skill for many people because they made a law that you have to know how to use a bow. And every Englishman in the age group of 15 and 60 according to the law needed to have a bow and arrows. And colf was like golf and the ancestor for golf as well and colf was made in scotland and it when people used a bent stick or club and try to go around tracks and sand dune with a pebble or small rock, Similar to golf.

Conclusion 

So in conclusion, the middle age was a time and place when people started to get a lot of innovation and created most of the stuff we use today or used to use like feudalism, shields, and sports. And a lot of the items made in the middle ages are still used today or used every day.
