In keeping with our vision, the intent of the Panther P.R.I.D.E Boys Club (Politeness, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence) is to focus on the successes of our male third through fifth grade students socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. The goal of the program is to highlight our males positively throughout our school, district, and the community at large.
The purpose of the Boys Club is to set aside time to model and promote continued exemplary behavior, academic excellence, and motivation. Boys Club members will have an opportunity to discuss problems they might encounter during school and how to appropriately solve those problems. In addition each member is asked to report his academic status. If the member is experiencing difficulty in a particular class or subject, he will receive individual help through peer tutoring and/or instructor tutoring.
The goal of the Boys Club is to foster success, brotherhood, and trust among peers and create a scholarly fraternal atmosphere. Further, our goal is to instill in our young men the importance of goal setting, hard work, and positive behavior.
The Boys Club assist students with achieving excellence through monitoring students in the school community. Sponsor(s) will meet with members to set academic and behavior goals and will assist the student with monitoring the goal throughout the year.
P.R.I.D.E members will participate in community service opportunities to boast school morale and to teach the values of understanding the many different realities of the world.
