Have you ever heard of the book “Prisoner B-3087” by Alan Gratz ? The genre of this book is historical fiction. The quality of this Prsoner B-3087 is amazing and super intresting. This book really gets me hooked by the way the author expresses the characters emotions as if he was the characters himself.
The main character of the book is Yanek Gruener. He is a 10 year old boy living in Krakow, Germany. He is a brave, fearless, and caring person. He never gives up on himself or anyone he truly cares for. I feel like I can really relate to Yanek because he really cares about the people he loves or cares about just like I do.
The timing of the book takes place during the Holocaust. It was winter, summer, and spring during this time. It takes place in concentration camps all across the map. Yanek attened a lot of different concentration camps . They were all in different countries like Germany, Poland, Wieliczka, and Trzebina. Yanek was traveling a lot throught out the book, so the location of the book was always changing.
The main problem throughout the book is the Jews being sent to concentration camps. I feel like the overall theme of the book is to never give up and to have faith. I also feel like the reader could take that survival is a big thing in this book.
I feel like one way the book could have been even better was if Yanek had a friend throughout the entire book. Another thing that could have been added in the book was if Yanek could have been more ruthless to people instead of being more caring because it makes him more serious.
If you like historical fiction, this book is perfect for you. There are a lot of twists and turns throughout the entire book instead of just having one twist through the entire book. This book can be super addicting if you like surprises and shocking moments. The part that got me super hooked is all of the twists, turns, and surprises. The twists and turns in this book are amazing. In other words, if you like twists, turns , or surprises then Prisoner B-3087 is the perfect book for you to read.
