8th Grade Reflection

8th-grade reflection

My last year of Middle School is ending; I'm in the 8th grade. This has been one of my middle school's most hard and fun years. I’ve had obstacles throughout the way but I learned how to solve them through the school year. Making this year important for me.

Starting the year I was excited to start playing sports because there would be more competition now that I was in 8th grade. I played Volleyball, Basketball, Track & Field, and Soccer. The volleyball team I was in was able to play against the teachers, we didn't win but it was a fun experience to have with the teachers. This was the school's first year with Soccer, so I joined the Soccer team to try that new sport.

I've always liked singing, so I joined a choir once I started middle school. I've been in the varsity choir for the last 3 years and this year the music that they gave us was tough but with hard work we were able to get perfect scores in all our songs making us the only school in UIL to get perfect scores in all groups by the judges. We are well known because our school is the only mixed choir in the region. Because of our victory, we will be recording the songs we sang for UIL in a studio so our director can keep them and show them to future choir kids.

This year my friends and I have gotten closer to each other. We've been to the mall 2 times already and we have roller and ice skated together. Once we start High School we will be going separate ways so we've been trying to meet now and then.

Middle School has helped me grow as a person, teaching me important information that I'll need for high school and the future. Once I'm gone I will miss it very much but I'll never forget those fun moments I had with my friends and teachers and the activities I was able to participate in and enjoy.
