A Little Bit Of The Middle Ages

Introduction

What is Feudalism, or this so-called King Arthur, or dragons? What about them? Why are these factors so important in the Middle Ages? Feudalism the main system and the basically government of the Middle Ages lastinging around the 8th-15th century. Arthur, best known for being the only one capable of pulling Excalibur out the rock, was the king of the kingdom Camelot and has a lot of mythology about him. Dragons, animals, monsters ,mythological creatures; this is a mythological creature more known in China that looks different in every country but in reality there's 14 types of them, or at least most known. This era was called and named the Middle Ages where Arthur was a king , or when dragons “existed”, and the main system was Feudalism.

Feudalism

Another thing about Feudalism is that it was in the basic form of society in Europe. Feudalism was the federal system of the government representing the level of the community of people in a kingdom. From top to bottom; top being the king the ruler in charge of the kingdom to the very bottom presents normal people getting land for crops, and farms. In the middle there are bishops;being top church leaders, and managing an area called diocese, and bishops are very powerful most of the time.

Barons; being The Barons and high ranking nobles ruled large areas of land called fiefs, and their role as barons was to maintain an army that was at the king's control. Knights; being warriors that serve as an army that could have been called into battle any time by their baron. From the text”The lord owned the land and everything in it. He would keep the peasants safe in return for their service. The lord, in return, would provide the king with soldiers or taxes.” with this information it is proved that the more top you are in the feudal system the more powerful/control you have over other people.

during the Middle Ages, in addition to the information it was also around in the 8th century. It was first created in France then spread over all western Europe, and was the primary form of government till about the 15th century Ce. Some facts about it are that 90% of people were presents that gained land for crops, also they worked hard and most died young, most died before their 30’s. From the text “The basic government and society in Europe during the middle ages was based around the feudal system. Small communities were formed around the local lord and the manor.”This proves that the feudal system was very likely the primary source of government in western Europe.

King Arthur

First about King Arthur is a British king in the Middle Ages that was the “chosen” one/only one that could pull the legendary sword and mythological piece called and named Excalibur. The origin of this legend/myth was probably on whales or northern Britain, so it's most likely that the kingdom camelot was around there. He was born and died around 400 AD to 600 AD he was also the son of Uther pendragon, his original name in latin was Arturus.”King Arthur, legendary British king who appears in a cycle of medieval romances (known as the Matter of Britain) as the sovereign of a knightly fellowship of the Round Table.” This proves that King Arthur was a mythological, legendary British king who ruled Camelot in the middle ages.He was the main character to his own and more peoples’ story.

Secondly, some things that Arthur does in his free time is play with his dog. Arthur loves his dog, and the name of his dog is cavall. Arthur, even though a king, wasn't a supreme leader either . He didn’t want to be the head of the table. King Arthur defeated the Saxons and established an empire, thanks to the character that created a big role in Arthur's life span. From the text.”Many of the characters associated with Arthur appear in Geoffrey's work including: Arthur's father, Uther Pendragon; his scientist and adviser, Merlin; the sword, Excalibur; his birth at Tintagel; and his death at Avalon.”This proves King Arthur was a king or head leader that was basically the chosen one/ blessed one/ honored one by being born to pull the Xcalibur and rule a lot of kingdoms. Arthur was one of the best kings he started as a king in a younger age than most but still was very strong. also his kingdom was in britannia in the medieval times, the name of it was Camelot.

Dragons

Something about dragons is that there are a lot of types of dragons in total that “roamed” around in the middle times and are big mythological legends that were one of the biggest animals in the middle times. People in this period of time knew and understood what and the origin of dragons. They thought of dragons as a real thing, and who knows it could have been. Dragons as you may think are giant fire breathing lizards but in reality they are not. From the text,”I say dragon, and you visualize a giant fire breathing, flying lizard with legs, maybe claws, maybe a voice. I know, and you know.” This proves that dragons don't look like much people think they look even though people still think that dragons all look the same and that there's 1 type of dragon.

Then the 14 types of dragons named western dragon, eastern dragon, fairy dragon, wyvern, hydra, pernese dragon, drake, amphiptere, worm, lindworm, sea serpent, ouroboros, amphisbaena, and naga. All these types of dragons come from medieval times. In the medieval time these legends became famous in culture and in many ways. The most known are hydra, western, and eastern. From the text, hydra”These are dragons which have multiple necks and heads. They may or may not have wings or legs.”,Western” Thick, long bodied, scaly skin, four strong legs, two bat-like wings, wedge-shaped heads, and long necks”,Eastern”These three species of dragons look very similar, but come from different parts of the world. They all have sinuous serpentine bodies, have four legs, they do not usually breath fire, usually shown not to have wings, but are illustrated to have them which is the Adult Imperial Dragon.'' This proves the psychology of how awesome most dragons are.

Conclusion

In conclusion dragons, King Author, Feudalism, all of these were and are important events in the Middle Ages. King Arthur and Merlin who told him that he was the one chosen by the unpulled blue sword Excalibur, and the main system known more as government in the middle ages, and dragons mythical creatures. It was very important to today because if they didn’t have a federal system we wouldn’t have the same lives as today and tomorrow.
