Instructional Plan

Welcome to TeachTown!

Our classroom utilizes the TeachTown enCORE curriculum for the following academic subjects: language arts, reading, mathematics, social studies, and science. In Structured Life Skills, we also address the development of social-emotional learning using the TeachTown Social Skills program. 

This curriculum provides engaging, technology-integrated lessons, as well as independent student-led sessions that promote learning. Student work is differentiated and delivered based on their performing level. There are three levels that vary based on prompts needed to respond. 

• Level 1: for students needing consistent support like modeling, partial physical, gestural, verbal, or visual prompts to respond 

• Level 2: for students responding with gestural, visual, or verbal prompts

• Level 3: for students performing with little to no prompts and reading without visual icons
